In this module we will consider communication methods including how to use play as a means of communication and as an opportunity for observation and insight into a child’s inner world. We will also consider and reflect upon developmental stages and needs, as a child’s presentation will need to be understood within a developmental perspective and framework so that we can best see and reflect upon where development is blocked and how therapy might be most beneficial.
